Finally you make an app. Love it, clean UI and works great.

Looks like a great app, but there is no filter of what is accessible by public transit, so completely useless for city dwellers without a car (hello, this is New York calling!)

I actually dont leave a lot of reviews, so when I do, its because the product is really that incredible. The Outbound app is seamless, has a gorgeous layout, is visually appealing, and to search for any outdoor adventure or activity is very user-friendly. Categories include places that are right around where you live. That particular section is great for finding new places for outdoor activities near you that you werent aware of. If you want an app that is easy to use, full of first-hand expertise that will help you plan for your next outdoor trip or travel destination, and is very practical, The Outbound app is the one to have.

The best outdoor website now in the palm of your hands. Recently switched over to the iPhone and this is my new favorite app. Adventures for everyone, every skill set, everywhere you go. App works beautifully.

In the last couple years The Outbound has grown into a force to be reckoned with in the outdoor adventure guide space. With thousands of adventures including everything from fishing to surfing to backpacking and beyond, written by experienced users, they have built a beautiful user friendly one-stop-shop for planning a weekend in the great outdoors. Their new iOS app has taken their website experience and put it into the palm of your hand, all while simplifying it to make it quick, easy, and effective to find adventures. Upon loading youll be presented with adventure options near you, and can easily navigate to a map that allows you to target specific areas. If your New Years resolution is to get outside more, or youre a seasoned veteran who has been playing outside for decades, this app is a must have.

I love this new app from the Outbound and I use it to find adventures for wherever I am traveling. I highly recommend it for all your travel and adventures. If you are not going to have any internet coverage where you are going, be sure to get info before you head out. The app does need a connection to provide you with all the adventure information.

I do love the idea of this app. Its very well put together and its almost like a Yelp for hikes. However, you can only see 1 persons review, and Ive tried leaving a review and it never gets put on there. Thats totally useless because if somebody says this hike is super easy well it might not be for everybody. Its nice to see a few peoples opinion rather than just 1. I feel this is a major flaw and the directions to the jokes arent great either. Also missing a ton of hikes I know are in the area and they arent in the app, and guess what, you cant add them. Fix!

Very handy for travel junkies and road trippers!

The app is beautiful and organized really well. Unfortunately there are not that many activities near me, they all seem to be concentrated in the west. So Im hoping with time there will be more activities added. I also would love information about whether dogs are allowed/recommend for each activity (or even an option to add dogs to your preferences so dog-friendly activities show up). I will keep the app and use google to fill in the details for now.

Im digging this app a lot so far; great way to discover beautiful areas to explore! One thing I would like to see would be if the app had a feature that allowed users to upload photos in the definitions, so that people who hadnt been there could get multiple perspectives, or see photos of different seasons of the destinations they might potentially be interested in checking out. If I saw a similar feature added, Id raise my review to a 5 Star! No complaints other than the one request though!

I love the idea of this app and the site. The interface has a great design, modern, and very fluid. I only gave two stars because the app is missing two huge features. The first being the ability to create adventures through the app, right now you have to go to the website. Second, there is no ability to upload any kind of GPS file of the route which is essential for many hikes, rides, runs, etc.

Its a great app right now, great look, great interface but it needs more places it should have all the state parks in your area and even nature preserves in specific towns. For those of us who live in small boring states it doesnt have many options.
